The Valet Attendant courteously and safely parks and retrieves guest vehicles, and must have a minimum of 1 year of driving with a valid Driver’s License. Requirements

Provide high level customer service, communicate effectively with guests and team members, follow instructions, ability to learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and maintain composure when working under pressure
Possess and maintain a driving record that meets Olympia Hotel Management’s Driver Evaluation Criteria in order to drive the hotel van
Minimum of 1 year of driving with a valid Driver’s License
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and comply with our DMV guidelines
High school diploma and/or equivalent work experience

Nice To Haves

Previous valet experience is preferred
Previous experience driving a van is preferred
Experience in guest service and/or working with the public is helpful

Responsibilities

Greet arriving guests warmly and assist them with parking their vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
Drive and maneuver guests' vehicles carefully to designated parking spots, ensuring that all safety protocols and procedures are followed.
Retrieve guests' vehicles promptly upon request, assist with loading luggage or belongings, and ensure that vehicles are returned in the same condition as received.
Welcome arriving guests and assist them with unloading luggage or belongings from their vehicles.
Escort guests to their rooms, carrying luggage as needed, and provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
Assist guests with luggage storage, retrieval, and delivery to their rooms, ensuring that all items are handled carefully and delivered promptly.
Provide courteous and attentive service to guests, responding promptly and professionally to their requests, inquiries, and concerns.
Offer assistance with transportation arrangements, restaurant reservations, and other guest needs, and provide directions and recommendations for local attractions and activities.
Anticipate guests' needs and preferences and proactively offer assistance and solutions to enhance their stay experience.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including traffic laws, vehicle handling guidelines, and security measures, to ensure the safety and security of guests, vehicles, and property.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the valet parking area, bell stand, and lobby entrance, including removing debris, organizing luggage carts, and replenishing supplies as needed.
Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or security concerns to the appropriate supervisor or manager for resolution.
