About The Position

The Vacuum Technician is responsible for the setup, installation, monitoring and maintenance of various vacuum pumps and leak detectors on cryogenic vessels to achieve high vacuum. Requirements

• Should have close attention to detail
• Should know how to use vacuum reading equipment
• Experience as a Vacuum Technician
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, grinders, hand wrenches etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and procedures
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)

Responsibilities

• Be able to setup vacuum pumps
• Install vacuum pumps to cryogenic vessels
• Record vacuum readings in an accurate and timely manner
• Set up and use a leak detector
• Be able to diagnose and identify leaks on vacuum systems
