About The Position

Janitronics Facility Services is hiring a part-time Vacuum Specialist to help maintain a clean and healthy work environment for employees and customers. The role primarily involves vacuuming floors and removing trash, with other cleaning tasks assigned by the supervisor. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and the listed pay is $16 per hour. This is a second-shift position with no travel required.

The specialist works in assigned areas of a facility, maintaining company standards for safety, security, productivity, and customer service. Janitronics provides safety and chemical-use training in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.

Requirements

• Ability to traverse the work site and transport equipment used to complete job duties.
• Ability to position oneself to reach areas below waist level and above the head.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and coworkers.
• Ability to detect, observe, and inspect work areas for potential opportunities and concerns.
• Ability to transport up to 50 pounds through the work site as needed.
• Ability to handle exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other potential irritants.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Attention to detail, dependability, integrity, flexibility, communication skills, customer-service orientation, and ability to work cooperatively with a team.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and understand English vocabulary, spelling, composition, and grammar.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a janitorial or custodial role.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safe handling procedures.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum carpeting and hard-surface floors in assigned areas, including edges, corners, and hard-to-reach areas.
• Vacuum stairwells in assigned areas.
• Wipe down entryways as needed.
• Vacuum upholstered furniture as needed.
• Replace missed trash-can liners as needed.
• Transport collected trash for proper disposal as needed.
• Maintain company safety and security standards and programs.
• Meet or exceed company productivity standards with minimal supervision.
• Treat coworkers with fairness, dignity, and respect.
• Communicate effectively with the supervisor and other employees.
• Provide outstanding customer service.
• Report needed supplies, repairs, safety concerns, and maintenance work to the supervisor.
• Maintain the quality of assigned duties and perform other duties as assigned.
