About The Position

The Industrial Cleaning Operator operates, maintains, and repairs high-pressure water-blasting and industrial vacuuming equipment used to safely remove, contain, transport, and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials in heavy industrial settings. The role also performs the general labor activities of a Hydroblast Technician while operating water-blasting and industrial vacuum equipment.

Operators are trained to use industrial vacuum trucks, high-pressure industrial water blasters, and other necessary equipment. They identify mechanical problems, perform minor repairs when appropriate, or report issues to a supervisor for prompt repair. They also decontaminate assigned equipment as required by project needs and company policy to prevent cross-contamination between equipment and job sites.

Requirements

• CDL Class A or B required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be physically capable of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
• Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to climb ladders to heights of up to 250 feet.
• Ability to work long hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Work may involve exposure to extreme temperatures and atmospheres with potentially hazardous, toxic, or corrosive chemicals.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet the physical requirements necessary to perform Hydroblast Technician duties safely.
• Operate industrial vacuum trucks, high-pressure industrial water blasters, and other necessary equipment after training.
