Vacuum Furnace Technician 3rd shift
About The Position
We’re looking for a Vacuum Furnace Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you'll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-temperature vacuum furnace systems used in the processing of critical aerospace components. You'll play a key role in ensuring thermal processing equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting production, quality, and customer requirements. Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding technical documentation.
- Technical training, military experience, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience
- 4+ years of experience maintaining industrial vacuum furnaces, heat treat equipment, or similar manufacturing equipment
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
- Experience using hand tools, test equipment, and diagnostic instruments
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Nice To Haves
- Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing
- Knowledge of AMS 2750 and pyrometry requirements
- PLC troubleshooting experience
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair vacuum furnace, heat treat, and supporting equipment
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, vacuum, and control system issues
- Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, valves, seals, power supplies, and furnace components
- Set up and monitor furnace cycles to support production requirements
- Perform calibration and pyrometry activities as required
- Read electrical and mechanical schematics to troubleshoot equipment problems
- Complete maintenance and repair documentation
- Support production by minimizing equipment downtime
- Follow all quality, safety, environmental, and company standards
- Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
