About The Position

GKN Aerospace is hiring a Vacuum Chamber Technician B to provide safe, reliable maintenance and production support for vacuum chambers and associated assets across its Garden Grove site. The role maintains and restores pumps, gauges, compressors, power supplies, heater assemblies, controls, instrumentation, and related mechanical and electrical systems through preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment recovery, inspections, shift handoffs, and documented CMMS closeout. The position works 2nd shift, from 1:45 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. The technician responds to equipment issues, diagnoses faults using technical documentation and approved tools, and performs maintenance according to procedures, job plans, specifications, and quality requirements. The position coordinates equipment status and safe return-to-service with production and supervisory personnel, manages work documentation and materials through Maintenance Connection, and contributes to handoffs, training, investigations, and maintenance improvements. The role requires compliance with site and regulatory safety controls, including lockout/tagout, electrical safety, confined-space, respirator, chemical-handling, cleanroom, permit, PPE, and machine-guarding requirements. The company describes itself as committed to sustainability, diversity, inclusion, belonging, and an accessible recruitment process, and notes that it offers industry training.
