Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC) is a 229-bed, fully-integrated hospital offering a comprehensive system of hospital, clinic, and specialty services. VCMC is recognized for its Family Medicine Residency Program and is the only academic teaching hospital in Ventura County affiliated with the UCLA School of Medicine. It serves as the designated Level II Trauma Center for the west county, known for its exceptional trauma team. The Inpatient Services unit (Hillmont Psychiatric Center) is a 36-bed unit, expanding to 43 beds, operating on a 7 on/7 off schedule with 10-hour shifts. Physicians will see approximately 15 patients per shift using the Cerner EMR. Traditions Behavioral Health works with H1B and J1 Visa holders. The Crisis Stabilization Unit & Consultation (Hillmont Psychiatric Center) operates on 12-hour shifts with flexible scheduling, allowing doctors to work up to 5 shifts in a row. Patients are seen in the CSU, Ventura County ED, and through consults in the main hospital, utilizing the Cerner EMR. Traditions Behavioral Health also works with H1B and J1 Visa holders.
