About The Position

FAR Inspections is seeking a reliable independent contractor to perform residential mortgage inspections in Harrison County, Texas, and surrounding communities. This role offers the opportunity to earn supplemental or full-time income on a flexible schedule. As a Field Inspector, you will conduct brief, exterior visits to confirm property status and report on general conditions. The position emphasizes autonomy, allowing you to manage your own routing, schedule, and territory, with standard inspections typically requiring only 5-6 minutes on-site. You will be responsible for determining property occupancy status, capturing photos, and submitting reports using mobile applications, while maintaining high reliability regarding territory coverage and deadlines. This role involves significant driving and making numerous stops throughout the day in a dense metro area, where familiarity with city driving, parking, and navigating multi-unit properties is beneficial.

Requirements

Reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle.
Smartphone (Android or iPhone) capable of running mobile reporting apps.
Computer with an internet connection and a printer.
Strong time-management skills to meet deadlines without direct supervision.
Ability to pass a standard background check.
