Requirements

5+ years of experience in software development using C, C++, Java, and Bash
Experience programming in Linux with /proc, driver/kernel-level code, socket programming, and task scheduling
Experience with open-source projects such as GStreamer, Live555, OpenSSL, GPSD, or Jansson
Experience in hardware troubleshooting skills, including RC filters, pull-up or pull-down resistors, and RS232 and TTL serial communications
Knowledge of TCP/IP, multicast, unicast communication protocols, and basic-to-intermediate networking concepts
Knowledge of SPI and I2C interfaces and thermal and electrical management
Ability to work with microprocessors and cross-compilation workflows for custom hardware projects
Ability to perform troubleshooting using tools such as oscilloscopes to diagnose circuit-level issues
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

Nice To Haves

Experience with emerging or modern programming languages such as Python, Kotlin, or Go
Experience with AI, robotics, or advanced unmanned systems applications
Experience with microcontroller programming and low-level device interaction
Experience with custom project setup, such as developing cross-compilation environments or working on specialized variants such as rpanion-based projects
Experience contributing to open-source communities or publishing in the open-source ecosystem
Knowledge of thermal and electrical management issues, including heat dissipation solutions for electronics
Knowledge of radio communications concepts, including calculating link budgets and RF principles
HAM radio operator
