About The Position

Seeking a UX/UI Designer to support GSA OCIO's Application and Enterprise Architecture task area. This role establishes agency-wide design standards, incorporates UX best practices, and provides design services including user research, prototyping, and usability testing. The position requires an active HSPD-12 clearance or favorable background investigation and U.S. Citizenship.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in UX design.
• Experience establishing agency-wide design standards.
• Experience incorporating UX best practices.
• Experience providing design services including user research, prototyping, and usability testing.
• Knowledge of Section 508 compliance.
• Active HSPD-12 clearance or favorable determination by contract award.
• U.S. Citizenship Required

• Portfolio of relevant work.

Responsibilities

• Establish agency-wide design standards for GSA IT digital products and services.
• Incorporate UX best practices into all design work.
• Conduct user research, prototyping, and usability testing.
• Ensure all designs meet Federal accessibility standards (Section 508).
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and program managers in an agile environment.
• Document design processes, methodologies, and solutions for knowledge transfer.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Ensure all work products are compatible with existing GSA systems and infrastructure.
