•$38,600 - $62,200

About The Position

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a motivated, curious, and thoughtful UX/UI Design Intern to help develop user experiences for physical products across its portfolio of brands. The intern will work with designers, engineers, and cross-functional partners to understand and apply user-centered design to real-world products, including human-machine interfaces, displays, controls, and product interfaces. The position supports research, ideation, interaction design, prototyping, documentation, and design communication throughout product development, with exposure to technical, business, and manufacturing considerations. The role is intended for a developing designer who is interested in why designs work as well as how they look, and who is comfortable asking questions, exploring solutions, receiving feedback, and communicating design thinking. The internship offers hands-on experience with product and HMI design, cross-functional collaboration, and the process of taking concepts from early stages through refinement and implementation.
