This role involves owning and driving end-to-end user and strategic research studies across multiple highly technical AWS product verticals. The UX Researcher II will design and execute strategic user research projects using a blend of qualitative and quantitative methodologies to uncover actionable customer insights at scale that improve the end-user experience. The position requires identifying the best research methods and questions to optimize various phases of the research process, performing quick but thorough analysis to create actionable findings, and interpreting behavioral interaction data to inform UI/UX decisions and product feature updates. The researcher will provide stakeholders in Product, Design, Engineering, and Data Science with insights into market opportunities and work backward from the customer to understand features, functional requirements, and end-user needs. The role also includes managing multiple simultaneous studies, mentoring others in the research process, raising UX and research fluency throughout the organization, and potentially traveling to conduct in-person customer research.
