About The Position

This course introduces students to the formative stages of the UX research process including concepts and techniques used to understand users and their needs/behaviours/tasks/goals, before designing solutions/interventions. Students also learn methods for communicating results including data-driven personas, journey maps and storyboards. Students are required to completed the TCPS course on research ethics.

Requirements

  • Teaching experience at the college or university level or experience providing training in UX qualitative research or equivalent is required
  • Applied qualitative research practice involving human subjects or equivalent is required
  • CV with current contact information
  • Candidate Application Form (CAF)

Nice To Haves

  • PhD with emphasis in User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Interaction Design or equivalent is preferred
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the classroom is preferred
  • Currency with industry best practices and tools relevant to the course is preferred
