About The Position

The Global UX team at Target is a collaborative group of design, content, research, and accessibility professionals dedicated to enhancing digital experiences for Target's guests, team members, and partners. This role is crucial for improving Target's digital presence by making every touchpoint easier, simpler, more valuable, and delightful. As a Product Designer on the Loyalty UX Team, you will be instrumental in shaping Target's evolving digital experience for guests and contributing to business growth. Your focus will be on designing intuitive, member-first experiences that highlight the value and motivation of loyalty throughout the shopping journey. You will ensure cohesive, end-to-end experiences, refine interaction details, and maintain consistency across web, app, and in-store touchpoints. This role requires balancing guest needs with business objectives to drive engagement, retention, and long-term loyalty. You will also contribute to the advancement of UX practices at Target through influence, impact, and craft, and educate cross-functional teams as needed. The team is supportive, engaged, and committed to elevating the impact of the UX discipline.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of relevant product design work or equivalent
  • Foundational skills in UX and product design, as well as structuring and planning work, and owning the design process
  • Demonstrate problem-solving, systems thinking, and collaboration skills
  • Lean into problems and seek to understand the ‘why’ behind human behavior and their mindsets
  • Knowledge of effectively using data and insights to inform design decisions and communicate your approach
  • Proficiency in product design and prototyping tools (i.e., Figma)
  • Value outcomes and strive toward design that is welcoming, inspiring, and clear
  • Understand how design connects to, serves, and improves business outcomes
  • Exhibit a growth mindset

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full design process, from early discovery and strategic approach to ideation, design, testing asset delivery and production with engineers
  • Take direction from and collaborate with senior designers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional working teams to deliver impactful business outcomes
  • Leverage insights, data and research to identify and pursue user-centric outcomes within your product space
  • Create design deliverables representative of the design process phase – such as journey maps, wireframes, user flows, UI design and prototypes
  • Investigate using both qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Hold design work to a high standard of craft, including accessibility, user research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design
  • Advance a culture of human-centered practice within UX, product, and engineering teams
  • Navigate complexity and ambiguity delivering impact for guests and the business
