UX Product Designer - Loyalty

About The Position

The Global UX team at Target is a group of design, content, research, and accessibility practitioners and experts who are passionate about improving and innovating digital experiences for Target's guests, team members, and partners. This role is within the Loyalty UX Team, where you will be at the forefront of Target’s evolving digital experience, shaping it for guests and contributing to business growth. You will design intuitive, member-first experiences that make loyalty visible, valuable, and motivating throughout the shopping journey. Your work will involve supporting the creation of cohesive, end-to-end experiences, refining interaction details, and ensuring consistency across web, app, and in-store touchpoints. You will balance guest needs with business goals to help drive engagement, retention, and long-term loyalty. As a member of the team, you will contribute to advancing the broader practice of UX at Target through influence, impact, and craft, while also educating cross-functional teams when needed. The team is engaged, supportive, and focused on elevating the impact of the UX discipline.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of relevant product design work or equivalent
  • Foundational skills in UX and product design, as well as structuring and planning work, and owning the design process
  • Demonstrate problem-solving, systems thinking, and collaboration skills
  • Lean into problems and seek to understand the ‘why’ behind human behavior and their mindsets
  • Knowledge of effectively using data and insights to inform design decisions and communicate your approach
  • Proficiency in product design and prototyping tools (i.e., Figma)
  • Value outcomes and strive toward design that is welcoming, inspiring, and clear
  • Understand how design connects to, serves, and improves business outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full design process, from early discovery and strategic approach to ideation, design, testing asset delivery and production with engineers
  • Take direction from and collaborate with senior designers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional working teams to deliver impactful business outcomes
  • Leverage insights, data and research to identify and pursue user-centric outcomes within your product space
  • Create design deliverables representative of the design process phase – such as journey maps, wireframes, user flows, UI design and prototypes
  • Investigate using both qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Hold design work to a high standard of craft, including accessibility, user research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design
  • Advance a culture of human-centered practice within UX, product, and engineering teams
  • Navigate complexity and ambiguity delivering impact for guests and the business
