About The Position

Tyrula is currently seeking a UX Designer to join our team! We are growing quickly and are looking for a strong UX/UI candidate to work either fully remote or hybrid remote occasionally coming into our HQ office right outside of Washington DC to collaborate with our team! The initial assignment relates to a multi-year contract with the US government. As a UX Designer at Tyrula, you will be a key player on the User Experience team, collaborating with a diverse group of project stakeholders, team members and various project resources on an impactful and meaningful project engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of user research, usability testing and analysis
  • Proficiency wireframing and prototyping using Figma required.
  • Portfolio showcasing relevant UI/UX design projects and processes.
  • Excellent collaboration as well as verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with other design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent is good to have

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX researchers, product owners, business analysts, developers and other stakeholders in an iterative and feedback-driven process to create high-quality UX design solutions and simulated online environments for user experience research
  • Synthesize user needs and business objectives to create testable prototypes and validate hypotheses; generate essential deliverables including user journeys, user flows, wireframes, prototypes
  • Rapidly prototype and create human-centric designs that represent optimal solutions for end users
  • Develop high quality visual layouts and interfaces based on user research, business requirements and technical constraints
  • Create and maintain up-to-date style guides and design libraries along with components and business patterns
  • Collaborate closely with the User Experience team and take on user research and business analysis responsibilities, extending beyond the typical UX Designer role
