About The Position

Tyrula is currently seeking a UX Designer to join our team! We are growing quickly and are looking for a strong UX/UI candidate to work either fully remote or hybrid remote occasionally coming into our HQ office right outside of Washington DC to collaborate with our team! The initial assignment relates to a multi-year contract with the US government. As a UX Designer at Tyrula, you will be a key player on the User Experience team, collaborating with a diverse group of project stakeholders, team members and various project resources on an impactful and meaningful project engagement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or related field
3+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
Strong knowledge of user research, usability testing and analysis
Proficiency wireframing and prototyping using Figma required.
Portfolio showcasing relevant UI/UX design projects and processes.
Excellent collaboration as well as verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently

Nice To Haves

Experience with other design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent is good to have

Responsibilities

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX researchers, product owners, business analysts, developers and other stakeholders in an iterative and feedback-driven process to create high-quality UX design solutions and simulated online environments for user experience research
Synthesize user needs and business objectives to create testable prototypes and validate hypotheses; generate essential deliverables including user journeys, user flows, wireframes, prototypes
Rapidly prototype and create human-centric designs that represent optimal solutions for end users
Develop high quality visual layouts and interfaces based on user research, business requirements and technical constraints
Create and maintain up-to-date style guides and design libraries along with components and business patterns
Collaborate closely with the User Experience team and take on user research and business analysis responsibilities, extending beyond the typical UX Designer role
