About The Position

Prophetic Software is seeking a UX Designer to drive meaningful improvements to our product’s usability and user experience. In this role, you will tackle real, identified friction points in the application—redesigning flows, rethinking interactions, and systematically reducing the cumbersome aspects of the tool that slow users down. Ease of use is one of our most important competitive differentiators against entrenched players whose tools are notoriously difficult to navigate. Your work will directly strengthen that advantage. You’ll operate close to the product and engineering teams, often pairing with engineers to move quickly from design to implementation—making your impact tangible and fast.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in UX or product design, with a portfolio demonstrating measurable improvements to complex product interfaces.
  • Deep expertise in interaction design and flow optimization, with a proven ability to simplify complicated workflows.
  • Strong proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma) and the ability to produce high-quality, developer-ready specs.
  • Experience working directly alongside engineers in an agile environment, including hands-on involvement in implementation.
  • Ability to identify, prioritize, and systematically address UX problems using both qualitative feedback and product intuition.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, early-stage environment where speed of execution and adaptability are essential.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and evaluate existing UX problems across the application, identifying the highest-impact areas of friction for users.
  • Redesign and re-implement UX elements and user flows to reduce complexity and improve overall usability.
  • Translate team-identified UX issues into concrete design solutions, from low-fidelity concepts through final specs.
  • Partner closely with engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently, including hands-on pairing during build-out.
  • Collaborate with the product team to prioritize UX improvements alongside broader product goals.
  • Establish and iterate on design patterns that promote consistency and ease of use throughout the product.
  • Solicit and incorporate feedback from stakeholders and users to continuously refine the experience.

Benefits

  • 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you
  • 30% coverage for dependents
  • Competitive salary and meaningful early-stage equity
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Hybrid/Remote stipend
  • In-office perks: snacks, drinks, coffee, ping-pong table, and more — plus cuddles from Olive, our in-office Doberman!
