UX Designer

Q2 SoftwareAustin, TX
Hybrid

About The Position

Q2 is a leading provider of digital banking and lending solutions. PrecisionLender is Q2's relationship pricing and profitability platform. As a Product Designer, you'll be part of the Product team, working closely with software engineers, product managers, and product owners. You'll use your expert knowledge of design and user research to find meaningful ways to improve our product and processes. You'll be empowered to listen to our clients' needs and act on them. Our Product Designers own the end-to-end user experience, including wireframing, feature definition, designing mockups, usability testing, user research, and advocating for a high-quality, accessible product. The users you'll design for are commercial bankers, relationship managers, administrators, and banking leadership. You'll be instrumental in shaping the direction of the design team — providing meaningful feedback on designs, thinking about the future of design at Q2, collaborating across the product organization, and contributing to strategy, goals, and roadmap conversations.

Requirements

  • Stellar written and verbal communication skills, and a gift for explaining complicated things simply.
  • Driven and persistent — find ways to make processes better, and then make it happen.

  • Bias toward action and never walk by a mess without cleaning it up.
  • Enthusiasm to learn.
  • Empathetic, resourceful, and humble.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field to Design, and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with accessibility, complex enterprise workflows, design systems, and designing for desktop applications.
  • Strong foundation in prototyping, wireframing, presenting your work and collaboration.
  • Strong foundation in usability best practices and user research.
  • Knowledge of Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe XD, or similar design tools.
  • A portfolio of work that shows you were directly responsible for the success of high impact projects and initiatives that benefited end-users.
  • Fluent written and oral communication in English.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
