About The Position

The UX Designer designs thoughtful, user-centered ecommerce experiences for the Peter Millar and G/FORE US and UK websites. This role translates business goals and user needs into intuitive digital experiences. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver who is comfortable working independently while incorporating feedback, analytics, and research into design decisions. This is a 5 month seasonal position located in Durham, NC.

Requirements

• 3+ years of UX design experience with a strong focus on website or digital platform design
• Experience with Figma is required
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design

Nice To Haves

• Experience with JIRA and Confluence is preferred
• Experience designing responsive apparel ecommerce websites strongly preferred
• A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human-Computer Interaction, UX/Interactive Design, Graphic Design or related experience

Responsibilities

• Assist with end-to-end UX design for assigned initiatives – from discovery to concepting through wireframes, prototypes and final designs
• Partner closely with internal/external developers and other team members to ensure designs are implemented as intended
• Contribute to and maintain UX design standards, patterns, and documentation to ensure consistency across experiences.
• Ensure all internally designed UX projects meet website accessibility (WCAG) requirements
• Participate in competitive analysis to find opportunities and make recommendations which increase revenue, optimize site usability, and increase sell-through rate
• Take part in UX reviews, workshops, and critiques with cross-functional partners
• Advocate for user-centered thinking while incorporating technical and business constraints
