About The Position

Morgan Stanley's Wealth Management (WM) Platforms team is seeking a UX Designer to help rebuild the UI/UX of their financial products. This role involves improving user experience by reducing clicks, automating selections, and integrating complex workflows intuitively. The UX team designs digital experiences for both clients and Financial Advisors, aiming to provide a unified digital experience, unlock growth, and deliver efficiencies. The team utilizes design thinking methods and a user-centered approach to solve business problems within a large product ecosystem.

Requirements

  • An outstanding portfolio that demonstrates how you have created experiences that solved business and user needs.
  • 3-6 years as a UX designer who was a key contributor to the success of products that have launched.
  • A bachelor's degree in design or related field.
  • Excellent skills in Figma.
  • Experience designing intuitive interfaces that enhance user experience and drive customer engagement.
  • Ability to leverage research, wireframes and prototypes to effectively validate and enhance design concepts.
  • Thrive in a collaborative, explorative environment and value being on a diverse team to brainstorm and get feedback from within a large organization.
  • Practice active listening and contribute in group situations, like brainstorms, audits, critiques, and whiteboard sessions.
  • Resilience in the face of obstacles and excitement for complex projects with high levels of ambiguity.

  • Master's degree a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Help formulate and execute the product vision by being involved in every step of the end-to-end product design process.
  • Understand and document the underlying needs and motivation of our clients to ensure we achieve business goals and provide value to our clients.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data and make value-driven design decisions that translate into clear, simple UIs.
  • Create and present a variety of design deliverables (sketches, wireframes, user flows and prototypes) in a way that engenders confidence in you and your solutions with the team and the greater organization.
  • Design and deliver responsive/adaptive solutions that are optimized for web and mobile interfaces.
  • Partner with engineers to translate designs into successful products.
  • Share design best practices, align on patterns, and promote a design-centric culture at the firm.
  • Advocate for all user abilities by thoroughly testing design deliverables to meet WCAG ADA compliance.
