About The Position

Dumaplast USA is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join a great team in Canton, GA. Dumaplast specializes in making high quality kitchen, bathroom, and office surfaces. UV Coating plays a critical role in our manufacturing process, responsible for operating and maintaining UV machines to ensure optimal production efficiency and product quality. This role involves setting up machines, verifying settings, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and excellence.

Requirements

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation skills.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to cross train and perform additional duties as needed.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.
  • Ability to work in an environment that is noisy.
  • Ability to perform specific duties with instructions but without direct supervision.
  • Ability to communicate in standard English to understand and follow verbal or written instructions and to keep simple records and make reports.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and climb.
  • Frequently lift or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift or move items up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Start up and shut down UV machines according to standard procedures.
  • Set up machines for production cycles, including calibration and cleaning.
  • Verify machine settings and ensure compliance with international standards.
  • Control and adjust machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality.
  • Test machine operation periodically and inspect output for defects.
  • Maintain equipment through preventive maintenance tasks and troubleshooting.
  • Handle hazardous waste in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Identify defects, troubleshoot machinery, and perform adjustments to resolve issues.
  • Keep records of maintenance activities and machine performance.
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Monitor production processes for deviations and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Document production data and maintain records of approved and defective units.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and production personnel.
  • Provide feedback on machine performance and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain continuity among work shifts through clear documentation and communication.
  • Follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties requested by his or her supervisor.
