UTILIZATION MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR
About The Position
The Utilization Management Coordinator conducts admission and concurrent reviews and tracks and reports denials in MIDAS. The coordinator participates in staff and physician education related to medical record documentation and actively participates in the Utilization Management Committee by tracking data and trends for review and quality improvement. The role works with disciplines throughout the hospital to support quality of care through education related to medical record documentation. Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System is a 178-bed acute care facility in Streamwood, Illinois, providing mental health treatment to children, adolescents, adults, and their families.
Requirements
- At least three years of direct clinical experience in a medical-psychiatric, psychiatric, or mental health setting.
- At least two years of experience in utilization management.
- R.N., M.S.W., or another master’s-level mental health professional licensed or certified in the State of Illinois.
Responsibilities
- Conduct admission and concurrent reviews.
- Track and report denials in MIDAS.
- Participate in staff and physician education related to medical record documentation.
- Actively participate in the Utilization Management Committee by tracking data and trends for review and quality improvement.
- Work with disciplines throughout the hospital to support quality of care through medical record documentation education.
