About The Position

The Utility operator is a rover who will assist as necessary in preparing and expanding to meet specifications; die punching, slotting and assisting with packing orders for shipment. Duties may include operating a saw, press, oven or assisting in numerous manual functions to prepare orders for packing and shipment. Currently there is an opening for an Utility in our Metals division on 1st shift (Monday - Friday 6:30AM to 2:30PM) Metals Expander: Starting at $19.58 per hour on 1st Shift!

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).

Responsibilities

  • Assemble proper materials for job.
  • Die punch when necessary.
  • Drill core when necessary.
  • Glue the core when necessary.
  • Expand the core if necessary.
  • Slot core when necessary.
  • Prepare the material to meet work order specifications.
  • Cut materials to specified sizes.
  • Stage material for machine operator.
  • Assist machine operator as needed.
  • Trim and clean material.
  • Measure end product for accuracy.
  • Assist with packing orders.
  • Prepare container for shipping.
  • Fill out related paperwork.
  • Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery by being efficient, productive, and careful.
  • Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment and methods.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Continually look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
  • Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.
