About The Position

The Utility associate is responsible for various services including cleaning equipment, floors, workstations, utensils, pots and pans using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards. This role also involves checking and replacing ice levels, keg beers, bib sodas, and Co2 containers, as well as loading and unloading supply trucks. The associate performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or assigned by management. This is a non-exempt position. Essential functions include cleaning work tables, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other equipment; washing utensils, pots, and pans by hand or using a dishwashing machine; returning clean items to their proper places; removing trash and garbage to designated areas; sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and buffing floors with heavy equipment; cleaning walls, windows, and steam cleaning trashcans; stocking, dating, rotating, and checking product temperatures; transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or hand truck; loading and unloading supply trucks; and following all security and safety procedures established by the Company.

Requirements

  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs
  • Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
  • Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents
  • Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions

Responsibilities

  • Clean equipment, floors, workstations, utensils, pots and pans using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards
  • Check ice levels, keg beers, bib sodas and Co2 containers and replace if necessary
  • Load and unload supply trucks
  • Perform all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management
  • Clean equipment which may include work tables, refrigerators, meat blocks and other equipment
  • Clean utensils, pots and pans by washing them by hand or place them in a dishwashing machine
  • Return clean utensils, pots and pans to their proper places
  • Remove trash and garbage to designated areas
  • Sweep, mop, scrub and buff floors using heavy equipment
  • Clean walls, windows and steam clean trashcans
  • Stock, date, rotate and check temperature of product
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or hand truck
  • Follow all security and safety procedures established by the Company
