About The Position

This position is responsible for packing eggs, sanitizing egg flats/trays, racks, buggies, and all other hatchery equipment and rooms. The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. The Company provides appropriate clothing and footwear. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.

Requirements

Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
If applicants have been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
Must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.

Previous agricultural or production experience will be considered preferred.

Responsibilities

Running egg pack machine to pack eggs, using a strapping machine to strap cases of eggs. (45%)
Monitor and record temperatures in the hatchers and setters. (5%)
Clean and sanitize Hatchery and Equipment: Operate a high pressure and regular water hose, maintain foot pans and hand sanitizers, pack export eggs into cases, assist Egg Pack Lead as needed, assist Sanitation as needed, maintain a clean and organized work area. (50%)
