About The Position

This position is responsible for floating to all departments within the Hatchery on an as-needed basis. Most job responsibilities will be in Chick Processing. The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines. This position is responsible for maintaining product flow and relieving team members on line for breaks and filling in during labor shortages while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

Applicants must have no disciplinary actions within the last 6 months, a point level </= 6 attendance points and 6 months in current area unless the TM is promoting, then less than 6 months in current area is allowable.
Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.).
Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs.
Must be able to push/pull 1000-1500 lbs. (on wheels).
Regularly required to stand the majority of the shift (concrete floor); walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend over; talk or hear.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Team Member is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures.
Team Member is expected to identify, address, and mitigate safety-related risks.

Responsibilities

Fill in departments as needed based on production needs.
Process chickens including grade, vaccinate, beak treatment (operate robot), dub males, despur males and perform toe trim.
Operate box washer.
Operate macerator.
Operate a high pressure and regular water hose, maintain foot pans and hand sanitizers, pack and unpack eggs, wash boxes, pad/make boxes, operate Coccivac machine, maintain a clean and organized work area.
Work in Egg Room Department.
Work in Embrex Department.
Work in Sanitation Department.
