Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Good problem-solving ability; makes efficient use of time within shift directives.
  • Ability to be trained and safely operate a forklift to transport raw materials and finished goods between departments and warehouses. Minimum 1 year experience.
  • Works well within a team and able to follow specific directions.
  • Punctuality and excellent attendance are expected and required.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of a fast-paced work environment.
  • Passing a respirator fitting and pulmonary fit test is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with 3 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Previous experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in various stages of production process, including mixing, blending, pouring, and packaging chemicals and chemical products.
  • Records required information on the batch sheet.
  • Reviews drumming sheets.
  • Locates drums, kegs, totes, and pails as needed for orders.
  • Transports items to filling area via forklift.
  • Performs quality control checks on raw materials, intermediate products and finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Monitors inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, reporting discrepancies, and assisting in inventory counts as needed.
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation related to production activities and quality control checks.
  • Performs activities to safely clean, secure and maintain equipment and work areas as required.
  • Participate in housekeeping in the facility according to 5S.
  • Follows, without exception, all work instructions, SOP’s, and safety rules, including use of all proper PPE and other safety equipment.
