About The Position

The Utility Worker is responsible for loading and unloading of raw material/finished product as well as cleanliness of plant and equipment. This role involves operating company vehicles, performing janitorial tasks, washing vehicles, and maintaining safety standards. The position requires the ability to learn and operate various equipment including cookers, boilers, wastewater systems, grease department machinery, skid steers, and forklifts.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading of raw material/finished product.
• Cleanliness of plant and equipment.
• Uses high pressure hose to wash parking lot, plant equipment, and surrounding areas of plant including spilled material on lot.
• Operates company vehicles around plant and property.
• Checks and reports condition of raw material load and truck interior.
• Performs a variety of general labor tasks including janitorial cleaning and vehicle washing.
• Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
• Learns how to run cooker, run boilers and waste water, run grease department and drive skid steers and forklifts.
