About The Position

This role involves cleaning vehicle interiors and exteriors, maintaining facility cleanliness, documenting fleet damage, and ensuring work areas comply with safety regulations. The Utility Worker will also assist maintenance staff and management as needed to support daily operations. Job duties and titles may vary, and collective bargaining agreements may supersede specific provisions.

Requirements

Must be over 21 years of age due to insurance requirements.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms, repetitive hand wrist motion, and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Able to work without direct supervision.
Must be able to work in and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Basic decision-making skills to identify and report fleet damage or safety concerns.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical stamina and strength for repetitive lifting, bending, standing, and walking.
Safety awareness and compliance with OSHA and EPA guidelines.
Reliability and punctuality to support daily fleet readiness.
Time management skills to complete assigned tasks on schedule.

Responsibilities

Clean vehicle interiors according to contract standards.
Clean, mop, and dispose of trash from vehicle areas daily.
Perform facility cleaning as needed, including trash removal, window cleaning, restroom maintenance, and vacuuming.
Document and communicate any fleet damage to the manager.
Maintain work areas in accordance with all OSHA and EPA regulations.
Assist maintenance staff and manager as needed to support daily operations.
