About The Position

Baywood Court is committed to seniors so they may live in health, happiness and dignity. We are a very active and modern not for profit senior living community nestled in Castro Valley, CA. We are looking for motivated individuals with a willingness to learn and the desire to make a positive impact on the vulnerable residents that live within our community. We are a 24/7 facility therefore one must be able to work weekends and holidays as required. All applicants are required to complete and pass a drug screening, physical exam with tuberculosis (TB) skin test, and criminal clearance through FBI and Department of Justice. The background search includes minor misdemeanors and DUIs.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • All applicants are required to complete and pass a drug screening, physical exam with tuberculosis (TB) skin test, and criminal clearance through FBI and Department of Justice.
  • The background search includes minor misdemeanors and DUIs.
  • No Experience required; we will train!
  • Must be able to stand/walk up to 100% of the work day.
  • Work is moderate to heavy, involving frequent lifting of objects
  • Occasional lifting of heavy equipment or food supplies
  • Considerable walking, bending, reaching, twisting and crouching.
  • Exposed to industrial cleaning chemicals, heat, humidity, steam, cooking odors, and wet floors.

Responsibilities

  • Works in a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized manner, abiding by all health and safety regulations.
  • Ensures compliance to standards set by management for proper care and cleaning of all heavy equipment, floor drains, vent-a-hoods, trash areas and dock areas.
  • Mops and sweeps kitchen and service areas.
  • Washes dishes and operates the dishwasher to clean all chinaware, silverware and cooking utensils.
  • Handles all wares carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
