About The Position
As a Utility Worker I in the Water Distribution Division, you'll be part of the essential team that keeps the city's water flowing. This entry-level role is your first step toward a rewarding career in water operations, with training provided for future growth. You will maintain and repair water distribution systems, read, install, and repair water meters, and train to master water and sewer piping installation. You will also work outdoors and tackle challenges head-on.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
- Be able to pass a background investigation, drug and alcohol, Pulmonary Fitness (PFT), and physical capability screenings.
- Possess a Missouri level "I" Water Distribution Certificate of Competency within 18 months of hire date.
- Possess a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License with Air Brake endorsement within 12 months of hire date.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year of experience in performing semi-skilled construction, maintenance tasks on water distribution and sewer collection systems or other related maintenance, mechanical or construction work.
Responsibilities

- Be willing to work on the On-Call duty rotation, and emergency calls outside of normal work hours as scheduled.
