About The Position

The Utility Transmission & Distribution Sales Representative is responsible for meeting and exceeding overall sales objectives while ensuring a high level of customer service when promoting TPC products and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • 4+ years sales experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales objectives through Value Added Selling.
  • Strong communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to listen and overcome objections.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial distribution, engineering/technology or related years’ experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Outside sales experience preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new account generation for the organization through a daily cadence of prospecting and qualification activities.
  • Develop existing account locations by identifying new applications and opportunities.
  • Manage long sales cycle projects to drive transformational business.
  • Execute daily outbound sales calls & manage inbound calls.
  • Utilize CRM to document sales activity and calls.
  • Perform product demonstrations effectively over the phone and video.
  • Execute face-to-face customer meetings.
  • Create territory / account plans and achieve sales objectives.
  • Align with internal resources to execute account plans. (Marketing/Engineering)
  • Understand end market trends and industry best practices; utilize relevant value propositions to those end markets.
  • Sell Medium and High Voltage Cable Solutions for Utility Applications.
  • Build Strong customer relationships to grow the Transmission & Distribution business.
  • Other duties as assigned. (Attending Trade Shows/Seminars etc..)
