About The Position

This position will be required to perform the following tasks: Material Handler, Pack Operator / Floor and Hauler positions.

Requirements

• Must be able to perform Operations Level 2 positions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
• Demonstrates sound judgment in decision making.
• Demonstrate proper use of Lockout/Tagout procedures as it applies to the equipment you are operating.
• Ability to engage and collaborate positively with all levels and departments.
• Understanding standards and measurements.
• Math and computer skills.
• Reliable and consistent attendance.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (after a training period) – if required by your role
• Lift up to 60 pounds
• Stand for long periods of time up to 10 hours
• Abide by company GMP and PPE policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to the production lines, as well as clearing jams in packaging equipment as needed.
• Supplies raw materials and quantities to the Production Lines in accordance with food safety requirements.
• Ensure that frozen blocks needed in support of retail production lines are de-mastered, tempered and transported in accordance with Gorton’s procedures and food safety requirements.
• Operating and clearing jams in various pieces of packaging equipment.
• Relieve the following line positions for breaks and successfully perform these rolls: block opening, cutter, raw and cooked culler, bag inspector, palletizer and Trim Collection
