About The Position

This position will be required to perform the following tasks: Material Handler, Pack Operator / Floor and Hauler positions. Areas Of Responsibility include Material Handler (Deliver materials to the production lines, as well as clearing jams in packaging equipment as needed), Hauler (Supplies raw materials and quantities to the Production Lines in accordance with food safety requirements), MW Hauler (Ensure that frozen blocks needed in support of retail production lines are de-mastered, tempered and transported in accordance with Gorton’s procedures and food safety requirements), Pack Operator/ Floor (Operating and clearing jams in various pieces of packaging equipment), and Breaker/Cleanup (Relieve the following line positions for breaks and successfully perform these rolls: block opening, cutter, raw and cooked culler, bag inspector, palletizer and Trim Collection).

Requirements

• Must be able to perform Operations Level 2 positions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
• Demonstrates sound judgment in decision making.
• Demonstrate proper use of Lockout/Tagout procedures as it applies to the equipment you are operating.
• Ability to engage and collaborate positively with all levels and departments.
• Understanding standards and measurements.
• Math and computer skills.
• Reliable and consistent attendance.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (after a training period) – if required by your role
• Lift up to 60 pounds
• Stand for long periods of time up to 10 hours
• Abide by company GMP and PPE policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Responsibilities
