About The Position

The Utility Technician supports station maintenance through work activities including scaffolding, insulation, painting, door maintenance, facility maintenance, and tool room responsibilities. The technician works independently or in teams under direction from the Lead Maintenance Technician or Supervisor, making decisions within prescribed operating procedures and guidelines. Work must be performed safely, without accidents, and in compliance with environmental permits at all times. The role is onsite in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Salary starts at $38.04 per hour and is non-negotiable.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain unescorted Nuclear access.
• Ability to work different shifts and travel to various power plants.
• Ability to successfully complete the training requirements for a Utility Technician.
• Previous power plant experience or industrial maintenance experience in HVAC, scaffolding installation and removal, or tool room work.
• Satisfactory completion of a Navy Nuclear program, or technical maintenance experience in the applicable field; alternatively, a two-year Associate degree in a technical field or post-secondary trade school program; alternatively, a high school diploma and relevant industrial training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance work on buildings and grounds, including servicing and maintaining doors, walls, windows, lighting, and painting in the power block.
• Perform minor rigging, scaffolding, hoist inspections, and insulation/asbestos work.
• Perform labor required to support building and facility maintenance.
• Issue tools and test equipment and perform other tool room responsibilities.
• Operate a forklift as required.
