Seeking a versatile individual to undertake a range of semi-skilled and technically proficient maintenance tasks involved in the operation, upkeep, and repair of water and wastewater treatment facilities and systems. Pay rate offered is based on experience.

Requirements

Proficiency in operating heavy and light equipment.
Ability to use a variety of tools relevant to the role.
Knowledge of water utility installation, maintenance, and repair.
Familiarity with safety hazards and best practices.
Ability to obtain a class "D" (TCEQ) water license within the 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Valid Texas Driver's License.
Minimum of one year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Engage in entry-level labor to support the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems, primarily working within a construction crew focused on excavating and repairing water and sewer lines.
Assist in the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems, primarily focusing on excavation and repair of water and sewer lines.
Operate crew trucks, backhoes, and other heavy and light equipment as needed.
Support licensed operators in sanitation and disinfection tasks.
Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal condition.
Respond promptly to emergency situations and document work orders, test results, and regulatory information.
Adhere to written and oral instructions, along with City and departmental policies and procedures.
Participate in rotating on-call/after-hour duty with other team members, including weekends.
Perform administrative tasks such as data entry and report compilation.
Conduct tests, maintain records, and prepare for inspections.
Operate plant equipment and ensure its operational efficiency.
