About The Position

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Utility Supervisor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing team that provides utility locating and leak detection services critical to the safety and reliability of our clients’ infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide operations, drive quality and safety, and ensure field teams deliver exceptional results every day. We are looking for Supervisors to oversee teams in the following locations: West Metro suburbs and North Metro areas. Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in utility line locating and/or leak detection (required).
Supervisory or crew leadership experience (required).
Strong understanding of utility locating equipment, methods, and techniques.
Familiarity with leak detection and underground facility infrastructure.
Knowledge of utility permitting and applicable safety regulations.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Experience developing and leading teams with a focus on performance and accountability.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Ability to travel up to 25–40% as needed.

Nice To Haves

Project management experience and business development exposure a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee field operations for utility locating and leak detection services.
Supervise and support field leads, technicians, and crews to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on time.
Provide coaching, training, and professional development opportunities to team members.
Collaborate with schedulers, other supervisors, and business lines to efficiently staff and manage projects.
Ensure compliance with company policies, client specifications, and federal and industry regulations.
Conduct weekly safety meetings and champion a culture of health, safety, and quality.
Review project data, safety documentation, and quality reports from initiation through closeout.
Manage budgets, operating plans, and resource allocation to maintain efficiency and profitability.
Partner with internal teams and clients to resolve field issues, improve workflows, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and field training of new employees.
Assist in locates within your area when needed.
