Utility Specialist/Mechanic Helper – Austin Industrial - (Channelview, TX)

The Utility Specialist/Mechanic Helper must be able to diagnose mechanical failures and make needed repairs to industrial mechanical equipment. Duties include providing mechanical support, preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting and resolution of multiple operating machines within a manufacturing industrial environment.
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
- TWIC and Valid Driver's License
- 1 year of experience.
Responsibilities
- Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
- Troubleshoots, repairs and installs industrial mechanical equipment.
- Tests, repairs or installs mechanical units, such as motors, water pumps, fuel pumps, governors, distributors, carburetors systems, brakes, clutches and other such devices.
- Replaces bearings, chains, sprockets and a variety of other machine parts.
- Rebuilds pumps, cylinders, and various mechanical equipment as necessary following standard operating procedures.
- Fabricates repair parts if necessary.
- Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
- Other duties as assigned.
