About The Position

Under general supervision, plans, coordinates, and performs professional electrical engineering activities relating to water, wastewater, and reclaimed water infrastructure and the development and maintenance of the energy management program for Department of Utility Services; and performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Six (6) years of progressively responsible professional electrical engineering experience with direct experience supporting industrial, municipal utility, water, wastewater, reclaimed water, pumping, or treatment plant electrical systems.
  • Two (2) years of lead, supervisory, project management, or responsible-charge experience on electrical infrastructure projects.
  • An equivalent combination of related education, experience, and training may be considered.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Nevada or “border state” driver’s license, as defined by NRS 483.
  • Possession and maintenance of registration as a Professional Electrical Engineer with the State of Nevada OR the ability to obtain through reciprocity within the first six (6) months of employment if incumbent possesses registration as a Professional Electrical Engineer in another state.
