About The Position
Under general supervision, this position provides maintenance and repair support for water distribution / wastewater collection / stormwater operations. Posted pay range is the starting salary. Pay rate offered is based on experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Two (2) years of experience as a utility services worker or in a similar position is required.
- Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with tanker endorsement or ability to obtain prior to employment.
- Water Class D license issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
- Wastewater Collection I license issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
Responsibilities
- Provides technical support in consultation with crew leaders on site plans, utility reviews, and locations.
- Performs inspections.
- Ensures an adequate supply of inventories of all parts and equipment.
- Transports equipment and sets up safety zones.
- Instructs staff for job preparation.
- Fixes problems and handles maintenance.
- Cleans up tools, job sites, and safety equipment.
- Checks and maintains equipment, to include fueling.
- Restocks inventory, parts, and supplies.
- Monitors completion of daily assignments.
- Assists crew leader with administrative duties.
