About The Position
Performs work in the construction, renovation, modification, installation, and repair of streets. Performs construction, pipe installation. Performs semiskilled work in maintenance of stormwater curb inlets and baskets in the Stormwater Division. Performs lead and skilled work in the operation of storm inlets and storm baskets; may oversee unskilled employees. Is required to work in adverse weather conditions.
Requirements
- Utility Service Worker I: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate.
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
- Six (6) months of experience in road construction, building construction, masonry, or related experience desired.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
- Utility Service Worker II: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate.
- Two (2) years of experience in Public Works maintenance and construction repairs of stormwater inlets, curb inlets, and baskets repair; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Florida Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B or higher required.
Nice To Haves
- Six (6) months of experience in road construction, building construction, masonry, or related experience (for Utility Service Worker I).
