About The Position

This is a part-time position, 20 hours per week, focused on supporting the Nutrition department. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the dish room and surrounding kitchen areas, ensuring all food service items are properly cleaned and stored. The department serves over 1,000 meals daily, executes hospital and community catering, and fosters a culture of mentoring and growth.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

Washing and sanitizing dishes, trays, pots, pans, and utensils.
Operating the dish machine and using the three-compartment sink.
Returning clean items to proper storage and service areas.
Cleaning and sanitizing the dish room, kitchen floors, carts, equipment, and work areas.
Removing trash and cardboard and keeping disposal areas orderly.
Following food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures.
Assisting with stocking and transporting supplies.
Performing other related Nutrition Services duties as assigned.
