Requirements

  • One year as an Engineering Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) performing utility relocation work
  • One year of technical utility relocation work experience and an associate’s degree in surveying, civil engineering, or in a design and drafting technology
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of technical experience performing utility relocation work
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
  • Be able to perform essential job functions

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction on utility coordination needs for projects of varying complexity
  • Maintain contact with utility companies and oversee progress to meet project milestones
  • Travel to project locations to conduct field views and lead on site coordination meetings
  • Examine relocation plans to ensure compliance with manuals and established standards
  • Assist partners using the Utility Relocation Management System to move projects toward clearance
  • Work with project staff to track progress, resolve disputes, and support scheduling needs
