About The Position

The Utility Relief/Laborer performs general labor tasks, assists with operational duties, and provides relief support across different departments as needed. The role suits a flexible, safety-conscious worker who can take on varied responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. The position is based in St. Francisville, Louisiana, in the Production department. The work may include indoor and outdoor environments, exposure to loud noises, dust, and varying or extreme temperatures, and extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting. The employee must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Comfort working indoors and outdoors, sometimes under extreme weather conditions.
Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to safety and detail.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

Previous labor or utility work experience.
Basic mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

Perform general labor tasks, including cleaning, sweeping, shoveling, and material handling.
Assist in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery.
Provide relief support in different departments as needed.
Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment safely.
Follow safety protocols and company guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
Operate hand and power tools as required.
Support maintenance and production teams with various tasks.
Perform inspections and report hazards, damage, or maintenance needs.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
