About The Position

The Utility Project Engineer provides designs, proposals, and qualifications for construction projects related to Plumbing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. This role is responsible for organizing the Engineering Department to review and approve project qualifications, design content, and proposals. The engineer will also audit construction drawings, track permit applications, and supervise construction on-site based on approved designs. Additionally, the role involves managing and resolving site issues, confirming project quantities, supervising material acceptance, and conducting project inspections.

Requirements

  • Bilingual Proficiency: English and Mandarin.
  • Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • A high level of proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
  • 1 to 3 years manufacturing experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • BS Degree: Prefer Engineering College (STEM Engineering Majors)
  • Required to sit, stoop, reach, bend, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see, and lift up to 27 pounds.
  • 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction is required.
  • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron, and arm guards).
  • Adaptive to high stress and fast-paced environment.
  • All candidates receiving an offer of employment must successfully complete a background check band any other tests that may be required.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft software, such as PPT, Excel, Oracle / SAP / PLEX or similar.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD.
  • Travel from 10% to 40%.
  • Highly dedicate on project management, negotiation and communication skill, ability to manage tasks and deadlines across multiple priorities.
  • Excellent manufacturing process design ability.
  • Good observational ability, diagnostic ability, preventive capability and strain capacity.
  • Automotive glass manufacturing equipment technical knowledge.
  • Excellent ability to collaborate and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong sense of project ownership with hands-on and can-do attitude and self-starter are essential.
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing the Engineering Department to review qualifications, design content, and design proposals for utility projects, and conducting reevaluation and approval.
  • Organizing the Engineering Department to audit construction drawings of utility projects, track and supervise the application and approval status of safety, environmental protection, and construction permits.
  • On-site supervision of construction based on the design drawings approved by the Engineering Department.
  • Managing, documenting, and assisting in resolving various unforeseen issues at construction sites.
  • Organizing and coordinating with the Engineering Department for on-site confirmation of infrastructure project quantities, material/equipment acceptance supervision, concealed work acceptance, design changes, and project acceptance inspection.
  • Other duties as assigned & handling emergencies.
