About The Position

This position is responsible for the washing, drying, folding, ironing, and storing of linens for the laundry. The role requires adherence to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards. The Utility Porter / Laundry Attendant will sort, wash, dry, fold, iron, and store linens according to established procedures, and perform routine maintenance on laundry equipment, including cleaning dryer traps and greasing the flat ironer. They must maintain production levels according to the level of room occupancy and assist vendors who perform inspections and tests of cleaning agents and operations. The role also involves handling cleaning products safely, maintaining daily worksheets, counting and processing reclaimed items, weighing and counting all received linen, and keeping accurate counts of delivered and received linen from all departments. This is a uniformed position, requiring team members to be in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty. The position requires willingness to work any shift.

Nice To Haves

• One year experience as a washer/folder/sorter is helpful.
• Knowledge of operating laundry equipment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, iron and store linens according to established procedures.
