About The Position

Care for Kids by Goodside Health is seeking innovative Utility Players for their Mansfield office. These clinicians, typically Certified Medical Assistants, Licensed Vocational Nurses, or Registered Nurses, are essential team players responsible for a wide range of clinic operations. Requirements

• Passion for children
• Experience working in a Pediatric Office, Pediatric Hospital, or Urgent Care within the past 3 years, lasting at least 6+ months
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, NCMA, RMA)
• LVN - TX License
• BLS certification required (online renewal accepted by American Heart Association)
• Knowledge of HIPPA, OSHA, basic clinical procedures, CLIA-Waived Testing, EMR software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Triage patients upon arrival
• Communicate with the provider on duty regarding patient status and symptoms
• Document and summarize patient visits in the EMR system (eMDs)
• Assist providers in procedures and patient care, including splinting, radiology, vaccine administration, and phlebotomy
• Administer and document medications as directed by the provider
• Prepare, clean, and maintain exam and treatment rooms
• Obtain labs and follow up with patients regarding results
• Provide patient education at the end of visits and address follow-up questions
• Position patients for radiology procedures and remove artifacts
• Perform front office responsibilities including insurance verification, patient registration, answering phones, and processing monetary transactions
• Perform any other assigned duties
