What You’ll Be Doing This position will perform a variety of complex technical work. This position is responsible for the following: Performs skilled maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment used in water and wastewater treatment facilities within the Town’s Department of Utilities. Service and repair pumps, electric motors, gearboxes, valves, conveyors and other industrial machinery to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. Operate crane truck, maintenance equipment, hoists, forklifts, and other tools safely. Perform welding, fabrication, pipe fitting, and general maintenance as needed. Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Career Development Program The Town's Utilities Plant Maintenance Division offers a career development program. The purpose of this program is to recognize and compensate those individuals who have acquired additional or advanced work-related knowledge, skills and abilities during their career with the Town's Utilities Department.
