About The Position

Harrogate Village, a FellowshipLIFE premiere community and mission-based not-for-profit continuing care retirement community, is seeking a reliable, team-oriented Utility Person to support its Dining Services department. The role provides kitchen support through dishwashing, cleaning, floor care, food cart delivery, and related duties. It helps maintain a clean, safe, and efficient dining environment for residents and staff. Duties must comply with federal and state regulations and facility policies. The position requires no formal education or prior experience; on-the-job training is provided. The employee must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. Physical work includes extended standing, repetitive motion, frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 100 pounds, and frequent movement in a fast-paced kitchen. Working conditions include exposure to heat, cold, wet environments, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen equipment.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Wash pots, pans, dishes, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashers and sanitizing solutions.
Clean kitchen floors, work surfaces, and equipment.
Deliver food carts to resident floors.
Receive and properly store food, supplies, and equipment.
Take and record temperatures of refrigerated and frozen items.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Follow infection control and safety procedures.
Interact respectfully with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers.
Attend required meetings and in-service training.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold resident rights.
Assist with training new team members as assigned.
