About The Position

Base is America’s next-generation power company. We’re rebuilding the foundation of modern civilization–electricity–by deploying a vast network of distributed batteries that is transforming today’s fragile, centralized grid into a resilient and abundant system. We are engineers, operators, and creatives solving some of the most complex, interdisciplinary challenges of our time. We are seeking a strategic operator to own one of Base’s most critical areas of the business – leading Utility partnerships. These partnerships represent a cornerstone of Base’s integrated delivery strategy, enabling the deployment and orchestration of our battery systems to deliver measurable capacity and grid value to Utility partners. As the primary point of contact, you will represent Base in all interactions with the utility and be accountable for the success of the relationship. That means driving program performance, achieving contracted capacity targets, and ensuring high-quality operational outcomes while maintaining strong alignment with utility stakeholders. At Base, partnerships aren’t siloed – you’ll collaborate closely with Deployments, Growth, Software, Hardware, and Regulatory to deliver reliable, scalable results.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading complex partnerships, grid programs, or large-scale energy initiatives in a high-growth or evolving market.
  • Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate across utilities, regulators, internal teams, and vendors.
  • Commercial and regulatory acumen to structure and sustain win-win outcomes across utilities, Base, and customers within a B2B2C and programmatic environment.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset; comfort working with tools such as SQL, dashboards, and CRM systems, and the ability to dive into operational and performance data when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve Base’s utility program offering, ensuring alignment with utility objectives, regulatory requirements, and grid needs.
  • Build trusted relationships with utility stakeholders across functions, including program management, grid operations, regulatory, and customer programs.
  • Partner with utility stakeholders to deliver on program scope, unlock additional opportunities, and support long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Set, track, and deliver against internal and external performance targets, including enrollment, installed capacity, dispatch readiness, and operational KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve program design, operational processes, and performance through data analysis, technology, and strong commercial judgment.
